Don’t be scared by the name, Iceland is not as cold as you would probably imagine. The climatic condition over here is mild as compared to countries like Sweden where temperatures can go as low as -30 degrees during winters. In Iceland, the temperatures can be similar to what one would get in England and Scotland.
The Northern Light Trips in Iceland are one of the top tourist activities and many enthusiastic visitors travel north from Reykjavik to witness this beautiful spectacle. If you are also planning to do the same, then here are a few packing tips so that you don’t land here short on some essential supplies.

Northern Light Trips in Iceland

What to Bring

Bring items that will keep your body warm. Though this is obvious but temperatures in the north will be lower than what you will face in the south of Iceland. Carry clothing items that are waterproof and also bring a pair of sturdy boots to help you walk on ice with ease.

Thermal insulated overalls work well over here. If you do not have the boots you can get them arranged by your tour operator. You will also require gloves, scarves, hats, caps, and a pair of shades to protect your eyes from the glaze of the ice during the day. Bring as a few extra pieces of underwear and socks, and try to bring clothes that you can wear in layers around your body with comfort without having them inhibit your movement.
